A Joint Multiresponse Split-Plot Modeling and Optimization Including Fixed and Random Effects

This paper deals with a proposal for joint modeling and process optimization split-plot designs analyzed through mixed response surface models. It addresses the following main issues: i) building of responsesurface model multiple situation, by defining only one which specific coefficients areincluded studying association among responses; ii) considering fixed as well random effects within context; iii) achievement an optimal solution involving common responses. We illustrate our contribution case-study related to design on electronic components printed circuit boards (PCBs); we obtain satisfactory results confirming validity thiscontribution, where qualitative factor PCB is also studied optimized.
